Job description
£35,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
At the forefront of using investment portfolios as security for access to credit, Firenze is emerging as the category-defining leader in what is known as Lombard lending.
We already work with some of the UK’s leading wealth management firms to unlock access to credit that has historically only been available to UHNW clients of private banks. Backed by top-tier investors, Firenze is now scaling its team to ensure our infrastructure continues to be underpinned by innovation, cutting-edge technology, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional client outcomes.
We are now seeking a Senior Operations Associate to play a key role in helping to scale our operational and customer-facing function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth fintech at an early stage and shape how a regulated lending platform operates from the inside out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, documenting and continuously improving operational processes and controls to support automation, scale and regulatory expectations
- Identifying opportunities to automate, streamline or de-risk operational workflows
- Acting as a key point of contact for borrowers, delivering a professional, responsive and high-quality customer experience
- Supporting and coordinating the underwriting of borrowers, including reviews of documentation and financial information
- Managing KYC/AML processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitoring and supporting automated data feeds from wealth managers, custodians and market data providers
- Investigating and resolving data exceptions, breaks and anomalies impacting credit decisions or client headroom
- Assisting with the operational execution of credit policy and risk thresholds
- Issuing borrower documentation and handling borrower communications throughout the lifecycle
- Coordinating loan drawdowns and repayments, working closely with finance and payments partners
- Working cross-functionally with product, legal, compliance and technology teams to scale operations safely and efficiently
- Support operational risk management through the identification, reporting, and mitigation of process and control issues.
- Supporting scenario analysis and stress testing for client facilities and collateral values
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines operational rigour with a client-centric mindset and thrives in fast-moving, regulated environments.
Essential:
- Experience working in a regulated financial services business (e.g. Lending, banking, wealth management, fintech, payments or similar)
- Strong familiarity with KYC/AML, onboarding and customer due diligence processes
- Experience supporting credit or lending operations, underwriting, or borrower lifecycle management
- A proven track record in customer service or client operations, ideally including building or scaling a function
- High attention to detail and a strong understanding of operational risk and controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the confidence to build and improve processes rather than simply follow them
- An interest in financial markets and investment products, with an understanding of how different asset classes behave
Desirable:
- Experience in secured lending or wealth-linked credit
- Exposure to fintech or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with funds, equities, ETFs, bonds or structured products in an operational or client context
- Experience working with data feeds, reconciliations or platform-based financial systems
Why Join Firenze?
- Be part of a category-defining fintech reshaping access to credit
- Work closely with an experienced founding team and top-tier investors
- Shape core operational and customer functions from the ground up
- Gain exposure across lending, regulation, product and growth
- Competitive salary and benefits
- Flexible working and a collaborative, high-performance culture
