Asset Management M&A & Secondaries Associate (5–8 PQE)

A leading U.S. Law firm is seeking a senior associate to join its highly regarded Asset Management M&A and Secondaries practice.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced associate to work on complex GP-led transactions, secondary deals, fund restructurings, and strategic M&A across the asset management space. The team advises many of the world’s leading private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real asset managers on some of the market’s most high-profile transactions.
The Role
- Advising sponsors and asset managers on GP-led secondaries, continuation funds, fund sales, and platform acquisitions
- Working closely with partners on strategic M&A and restructuring transactions in the funds space
- Exposure to cross-border matters and sophisticated institutional clients
- Playing a meaningful role in deal execution and client relationships, with clear scope for progression
The Ideal Candidate
- 5–8 years’ PQE with strong experience in asset management M&A and/or secondaries
- Trained at a top-tier U.S. Or international firm
- Comfortable running workstreams and mentoring junior associates
- Commercial, detail-oriented, and confident working directly with clients
