Senior Wayfinding Designer

ADLIB Recruitment | B Corp™ is looking for a Senior Wayfinding Designer

Job description

  • Work on major global and UK-based wayfinding projects.
  • Join a highly respected creative team led by industry experts.
  • Hybrid role in Central London with autonomy and variety.

A leading wayfinding and environmental branding agency is looking for a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join the team. The London-based agency delivers strategic and creative solutions for the built environment across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. This is a hands-on visual design role where you’ll create, shape and deliver user-centred solutions for complex spaces. You’ll be part of a close-knit creative team, collaborating with strategists and designers while owning visual direction from concept through to delivery.

What you’ll be doing

The successful Senior Wayfinding and Graphic Designer will work across the full project lifecycle, working closely with researchers, strategists, and technical specialists through to brand design and implementation. You’ll develop visual concepts, generate graphic layouts, create pictograms, diagrams, cartography, and signage, and produce coherent design systems that shape how people navigate and experience spaces.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Design Director and wider team, contributing creative ideas and helping define high-quality design outputs. You'll annotate plans, prepare message schedules, present your work to internal teams and clients, and support the development of guidelines and documentation that bring strategies to life.

You’ll also play a role in client coordination, building relationships, discussing design decisions, and representing your work clearly and confidently. This Senior Wayfinding Designer role is ideal for someone highly visual, ideas-driven and passionate about the built environment.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Extensive experience in wayfinding, information design, communication design, or graphic design for the built environment.
  • Experience producing environmental graphics, maps, and signage.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual concept development and design craft.
  • Experience working from strategy through to delivery.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, including with architects and strategists.
  • Confident client communicator with light-touch project management skills.
  • Skilled across Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp experience is a bonus.
  • Strong typographic skills, attention to detail and an organised approach.
  • Able to balance multiple projects and work well within a collaborative team.

What you’ll get in return for your experience

This Senior Wayfinding Designer role offers the opportunity to work with a close-knit team of some of the most respected practitioners in the field. The culture is friendly, collaborative and non-hierarchical, with regular social events, quarterly team-building initiatives and a supportive environment. The studio offers 3 days a week hybrid working from a fantastic studio in Bermondsey in London. You’ll work on high-profile projects across airports, stadiums, workplaces and cultural destinations.
