Our client is a highly regarded, full-service international law firm with a standout Intellectual Property practice and a strong presence in London. Known for handling complex, high-value matters across multiple sectors, the firm offers a collaborative environment, high-quality work, and excellent long-term career progression within one of the largest and most established departments in the office.
The firm is now looking to recruit a mid-level IP Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious IP matters, supporting leading partners on sophisticated cases across life sciences, retail & consumer, and technology sectors, while playing an active role in the continued development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a full range of intellectual property rights, with a strong focus on UK litigation
- Assist with general IP advisory work across multiple sectors in both contentious and non-contentious contexts
- Support IP partners on complex, high-profile matters across a range of industries
- Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the IP practice
- Manage aspects of complex IP cases, working efficiently alongside partners and senior colleagues
- Liaise effectively with internal fee earners across different disciplines and jurisdictions
- Coordinate with international teams where required on cross-border IP matters
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience within a comparable IP practice
- Strong experience handling both contentious and non-contentious IP matters
- Ideally completed the Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice
- UK experience highly desirable
- Ability to work flexibly across a broad range of IP issues and sectors
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex matters at an appropriate level
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and jurisdictions
