Buyer – FMCG London (Hybrid) - Up to £40,000
I’m currently partnering with a leading retail business to recruit a Buyer to join their fast-paced commercial team. This is a high-impact role with full ownership of a large, high-volume category and the opportunity to shape strategy, drive growth and deliver commercial performance.
Location: London (3 days in office)
The role:
You’ll take end-to-end ownership of a key product category — driving sales, margin and innovation while building a compelling customer-led range.
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering category sales and profit targets
• Developing and executing category strategy and trade plans
• Building customer-focused product ranges and promotions
• Leading supplier negotiations and managing partnerships
• Driving pricing strategy and product sourcing
• Identifying growth opportunities and delivering commercial initiatives
• Working cross-functionally on projects, trials and forecasting
What they’re looking for
• Buying or commercial experience within retail/FMCG
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset
• Confident negotiation and supplier management experience
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
