Product Manager – Video Compression Technology


London (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week)

The Role


As Product Manager, you will take ownership of the lifecycle of a portfolio of video compression products - from strategic definition through to commercial performance and customer deployment.


You’ll work closely with engineering, delivery, marketing, and sales teams to:

  • Define and prioritise product roadmaps
  • Translate customer and ecosystem requirements into technical deliverables
  • Lead proof-of-concepts, trials, and reference integrations
  • Support commercial engagements with strategic partners
  • Drive adoption within open-source frameworks and industry platforms


This is a technically focused product role suited to someone comfortable working with SDKs, APIs, reference integrations, and standards-based software.


What Our Client is Looking For


This role would best suit:

  • An experienced Product Manager or Product Owner within the professional video, streaming, or broadcast technology space
  • OR
  • An upcoming Broadcast Engineer / Systems Engineer who has worked closely with product teams and is ready to transition into a formal product role


Additionally, our client is looking for:


  • 5+ years’ experience within the professional video industry
  • Exposure to video codecs, streaming, compression, or broadcast workflows
  • Experience working with SDKs, APIs, and software-based integrations
  • Strong stakeholder management across engineering and commercial teams
  • The ability to operate in a technically complex, fast-moving environment
  • A hands-on mindset with the confidence to own roadmap decisions
