Trainee Lawyer – Fast‑Growing InsurTech Start‑Up

I’m excited to share a fantastic opportunity with a fast‑growing start‑up insurer that’s building something genuinely new in the market. We’re looking for an ambitious Trainee Lawyer to join their in‑house legal team and help shape the future of a business that’s scaling quickly and thinking boldly.

About the Role

This is a rare chance to step into an in‑house training contract within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll work closely with senior lawyers and business leaders across underwriting, claims, product development, and compliance, gaining hands‑on exposure from day one.

You’ll be involved in:

• Supporting on commercial contracts
• Advising the business on regulatory and governance matters
• Assisting with corporate matters, including governance, company secretarial work, and supporting on corporate projects
• Helping build legal processes and frameworks from the ground up
• Working cross‑functionally with teams across the business
• Contributing to strategic projects as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who’s not just academically strong, but genuinely excited by the pace and creativity of a start‑up.

You’ll need:

• Strong academics (LLB/GDL + LPC)
• Minimum 1 year of paralegal experience in insurance
• A proactive mindset and willingness to get stuck in
• Curiosity, commercial awareness, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
• A genuine interest in building something new, not just maintaining the status quo
