Investment Associate (Public Markets)

Job description

A leading UK asset owner is seeking a Public Markets Investment Associate to join its Investment Division.

This role is strictly for candidates currently working in an investment team, with 2–3 years of post-graduate experience, and a clear interest in public markets.

The Role:

The Associate will support senior investors across a diversified public markets portfolio, with responsibilities including:

• Portfolio monitoring and performance analysis
• Risk analysis across market, macro, factor, and portfolio dimensions
• Manager research and due diligence
• Investment data ownership, analytics, and reporting
• Supporting capital allocation decisions across public market strategies

Essential Requirements:

Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Currently working within an investment team (asset manager, asset owner, pension fund, endowment, or investment consultancy)
• 2–4 years of professional investment experience
• Demonstrable interest in public markets, such as equities, fixed income, or absolute return strategies

Desirable Experience:

• Hands-on experience with investment data, performance analysis, and risk frameworks
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Progress toward CFA and/or CAIA
