Knowledge Development Lawyer - Pensions

The Opportunity
An international law firm is seeking an exceptional Knowledge Lawyer to join its expanding Knowledge Management function. This is a newly created position, offering a rare opportunity to shape the knowledge agenda from the ground up at a pivotal moment for the firm.
The firm welcomes applications from experienced private practice pensions lawyers as well as individuals who have previously worked as Knowledge Lawyers within pensions . What matters most is strong technical ability, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for developing high-quality legal know-how.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and analyse legal and regulatory developments, delivering timely and practical updates.
- Draft, refine, and maintain the firm’s core library of knowledge resources, including precedents, templates, and guidance notes.
- Provide high-level technical support to fee-earners and assist with complex legal queries.
- Lead or contribute to internal training programmes, workshops, and legal education sessions.
- Partner with senior lawyers to design and implement knowledge initiatives aligned with practice goals.
- Produce or support client-facing training, insights, and thought-leadership materials.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, improved efficiency, and better knowledge processes.
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Management and Innovation teams to enhance systems and workflows.
About You
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent).
- Strong post-qualification technical experience gained in a reputable private practice environment, or previous experience as a Knowledge Lawyer.
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, accessible materials.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive in driving improvements.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
- Enthusiastic about knowledge sharing, learning, and continuous development.
