Senior Development Surveyor - East Midlands

Job description

This is an opportunity to deliver real results with key projects across the region.  You will help shape development and investment plans, looking at potential sites, carrying out feasibility studies, and check what’s viable both practically and financially.
You’ll manage a mix of contracts, land purchases and sales, with support from senior colleagues, and put forward clear recommendations for approval. You’ll also help manage budgets for the Development Programme, covering both capital and day-to-day spending.
Part of the role is working with external agents, planners, highway consultants and solicitors, making sure everything follows processes and delivers quality results. You’ll also support annual asset valuations for accounting purposes.
You’ll give practical development advice to teams, elected members, partners and stakeholders, and provide specialist input on projects. This includes writing reports with clear recommendations for steering groups, government departments and external organisations.
