Job description

End-to-End Project Lead – Large Capital Project Delivery

Are you a seasoned project leader with a proven track record in delivering large-scale capital projects? We are looking for an End-to-End Project Lead to drive the delivery of a cutting-edge R&D laboratory campus in the United Kingdom.

About the Role

As the E2E Project Lead, you will be accountable for the full lifecycle of this transformative project – from design and construction to commissioning, validation, and handover to operational teams. You will ensure that the scientific and technical requirements are translated into world-class engineering design and operational readiness.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex, high-impact capital investment in a highly regulated environment, driving innovation and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all phases of a major R&D campus project, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Drive cross-functional teams including engineering, safety, quality, procurement, operations, IT, and finance.
  • Manage project budgets, vendor contracts, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulatory, biosafety, and building standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
  • Chair Project Steering Committees, report progress to senior management, and oversee project documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or related field.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in large capital projects, preferably in biotech, pharma, or high-tech R&D environments.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours as needed.

Why Join This Project

  • Lead a flagship R&D campus that will enable next-generation scientific innovation.
  • Opportunity to work with highly skilled, cross-functional teams.
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of a strategic, high-profile investment.
  • Work in a challenging, rewarding environment where your leadership drives impact.

If you are a strategic thinker, hands-on leader, and results-driven project professional, this is the role for you!
