Groundwork Engineering Product Specialist – National Role
We are working with a major player in the building materials sector to recruit a Groundwork Engineering Product Specialist to join their specialist team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a national role, develop your profile within a dedicated team, and work with high-profile contractors and clients across the UK.
What does the role involve?
As a Groundwork Engineering Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving business development across complex construction sectors. You will manage, develop, and nurture relationships with key customers and new prospects, working closely with internal sales and operational teams, as well as external manufacturers and suppliers, to deliver an industry-leading service to Tier 1 and national contractors. You will operate within structured account plans to achieve sales and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Groundwork Engineering products, gained in either a sales or technical sales role.
- Achieve sales and margin targets from existing and new customer accounts.
- Create, own, and maintain detailed account plans.
- Build strong relationships at senior and operational levels to become the preferred partner of choice.
- Develop added-value product and service propositions tailored to each customer.
- Collaborate with internal branches, operations, and support teams to meet customer requirements.
- Contribute to sales strategy, market insights, and category performance reviews.
- Identify opportunities for new or innovative products.
- Manage project orders, special requests, and regional product priorities in conjunction with operational teams.
- Support overall company strategy with a structured, proactive approach across your account network.
