Overview

We are looking for a passionate Menswear and Womenswear Garment Technologist with an excellent technical ability to work closely with the studio team on all Casablanca collections.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the Casablanca standards, and ensure these are met through regularly revised processes, quality of product, and professional conduct.

We work in a fast-paced environment, so willingness to take part in all aspects of the fitting process and a passion for your work are key. For the right candidate, there is a great opportunity to contribute to the creative journey here at Casablanca, sharing your knowledge and experience as part of our team.

The role

  • Partner with the Pattern Cutter to maintain consistent quality and fit across all collections by implementing and refining standards within the supplier manual.
  • Take full ownership of product integrity, proactively reviewing quality and cost considerations, and recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Pattern Cutters to ensure all patterns meet the required finish and specifications.
  • Prepare and issue grading notes, ensuring all key style-specific information is clearly communicated.
  • Oversee seasonal development of curve fit and grading standards.
  • Operate in alignment with deadlines set by the CSCO, ensuring timely delivery at each stage.
  • Ensure all pattern measurements are accurately captured and updated within the specification sheets.
  • Approve final pre-production samples and seal patterns and specifications for bulk production.
  • Update tech packs following production fittings, maintaining accurate and current technical data.
  • Communicate fit, quality, and construction requirements to manufacturers through detailed fitting comments, in collaboration with the Production Team.
  • Maintain and manage the pattern library to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to both Design and Production teams as required.

Fittings

  • Lead fit sessions alongside the Pattern Cutter and Design team.
  • Follow up with clear and detailed pattern amendment notes.
  • Pre-measure samples ahead of fittings, review garments on the stand, provide preliminary fit observations, and verify that previous fit comments have been correctly actioned.

The candidate

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a comparable technical-led role within product development.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, technical components, and sewing techniques.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing and adhering to critical path deadlines.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, adaptable to new systems and processes, and eager to continuously learn.
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for product innovation and exceptional quality standards.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a professional, approachable manner.
  • Experience working with luxury products, with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and accountable, with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Acts with integrity and professionalism, representing Casablanca and its brand values with pride.
