Job description
A globally recognised multidisciplinary practice based in buzzing Central London is on the look out for an Architectural Assistant or an Architect to join it’s collaborative studio on an initial contract basis. You will be joining established delivery teams working on a mix of major transport schemes and advanced science/industrial environments, including metro and rail infrastructure, airport developments, high-speed rail programmes, and large-scale laboratory and research facilities. You will be collaborating with architects, engineers and specialist consultants within fully integrated project teams, contributing to feasibility studies, live project work and detailed delivery packages across multiple international schemes.
Job Description
You will be supporting project teams across a range of stages, with a strong focus on production, coordination and model delivery.
You will be:
- Producing and coordinating Revit models and drawing packages for feasibility, live projects and delivery stages.
- Supporting teams through RIBA Stages 2–4, with particular emphasis on technical development and information production.
- Working within multidisciplinary environments, coordinating closely with structural, MEP and specialist teams.
- Contributing to spatial development, testing layouts and resolving technical constraints within complex project parameters.
- Supporting design teams across major transport projects (rail, metro, stations, airports) and science/industrial environments.
- Assisting with technical coordination, model management and quality control to support project deadlines.
Key Skills
- Part II or Part III qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency in Revit is essential for science and laboratory projects
- Experience with MicroStation / AECOsim advantageous (particularly for transport or science projects), but not essential.
- Experience with Rhino beneficial.
- Experience working on complex or large-scale projects, ideally within transport, infrastructure, science, or industrial sectors.
- Exposure to RIBA Stage 3–4 delivery and production workflows.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and working within large consultant teams.
- Experience in laboratory, cleanroom, transport, or aviation projects desirable but not required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating spatial thinking, technical awareness and project contribution.
These roles are suited to designers and architects who enjoy working on technically complex, large-scale projects and want exposure to integrated, multidisciplinary delivery environments. The positions offer immediate involvement in major international programmes, with the potential for longer-term opportunities as project pipelines develop
