Job title: NPD Technologist

Location: Cheshire - 5 days a week on-site

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 + Benefits

We’re working with a growing ambient food manufacturer based in Cheshire to recruit an NPD Technologist to join their Product Development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in food innovation, supporting the creation and launch of products from concept through to market.

The Role

Reporting into the NPD Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role within the development kitchen and wider cross-functional team, assisting in delivering commercially successful and technically robust products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting trend research and competitor benchmarking
• Preparing samples and supporting recipe development
• Assisting with customer presentations and product submissions
• Completing customer specifications and internal process documentation
• Compiling cooking instructions and assessing product shelf-life
• Processing and analysing nutritional information
• Supporting cross-functional teams with product and technical information

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• An understanding of the food manufacturing industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and SharePoint
• The ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creativity and a genuine passion for food innovation
• The ability to multitask and work cross-functionally across departments

Salary & Benefits

• £30,000 – £32,000 basic salary
