About the Operations Manager Role

As Operations Manager, you will act as the business’s operational backbone, ensuring the team runs smoothly, new starters are onboarded effectively, processes are followed, and the sales function is supported to perform at its highest level. You will bring maturity, structure and accountability to the business, working closely with the leadership team while maintaining hands‑on involvement in key daily operations. This role offers significant variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence how the business scales.

Operations Manager: Key Responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day operational activity, ensuring the business runs efficiently
• Lead the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring they quickly gain the knowledge needed to operate confidently and competently.
• Review, update and manage introducer and lender contracts across a large network (c. 300 lenders).
• Create, monitor and enforce internal workflows, ensuring tasks are appropriately delegated and completed
• Support recruitment activity, including liaising with recruiters and filtering CVs where needed.
• Act as the “second pair of hands” for leadership, anticipating operational needs and removing obstacles
• Support the sales team with lead allocation, organisation and task tracking.
• Where required, assist with outbound calling to warm databases and initial lead qualification.
• Ensure the sales function maintains structure, follow‑up discipline and accountability.

Operations Manager: Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who brings a strong blend of operational confidence, commercial awareness and a calm, mature presence.

• Proven operational experience within financial services, ideally lending, brokerage or related sectors.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Strong ability to delegate, hold people accountable and maintain workflow discipline.
• Comfortable managing documentation, contracts and onboarding processes.
• Hard working, ambitious and pro-active.
• Confident communicator who builds trust quickly across teams.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to anticipate business needs.
• Product knowledge across areas such as buy‑to‑let, bridging finance or commercial lending. (desirable)

Operations Manager: Package

• Base salary £60k - £75k depending on experience.
• Negotiable structure for candidates with both operational and lead‑generation capability.
