Job description
We’re seeking an experienced PBSA Development Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality student accommodation schemes across the UK. Based in London, you’ll take ownership of projects from early concept and feasibility through planning, design, procurement, and delivery, ensuring schemes are commercially viable, well‑designed, and aligned with organisational objectives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a development professional with strong PBSA experience to play a pivotal role in shaping a growing national portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development lifecycle for PBSA projects across multiple UK regions.
- Oversee feasibility studies, site appraisals, and financial modelling to support acquisition and investment decisions.
- Manage planning applications, liaising with consultants, architects, and local authorities.
- Coordinate design development, ensuring buildings meet brand, operational, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive procurement strategies and support contractor selection.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and programme milestones through to handover.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, JV partners, external consultants, and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the UK student housing market, legislative changes, and design/operational trends.
- Confidently report to investors on project updates
