FUTURES AND OPTIONS MIDDLE OFFICE
The Middle Office Trade Support Analyst is responsible for providing operational and control support to the Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) desk. The role acts as a key control function between Front Office, Clearing Brokers, Finance, Risk and Compliance, ensuring accurate trade capture, reconciliation, lifecycle management, and issue resolution.
The successful candidate will work closely with traders and external counterparties to ensure timely and accurate processing of exchange-traded futures and options, while maintaining strong risk and control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Capture & Validation
- Monitor and validate exchange-traded futures and options executed across global exchanges.
- Ensure timely and accurate trade capture within LISA, TEO and ATEO systems.
- Perform real-time trade validation and exception management.
- Liaise directly with the trading desk to resolve booking discrepancies.
Reconciliations & Controls
- Perform daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations against clearing brokers and exchanges.
- Investigate and resolve breaks in a timely and controlled manner.
- Monitor give-ups, allocations, and post-trade amendments.
- Maintain strong control framework across ETD lifecycle processes.
Clearing & Settlement
- Oversee clearing processes and ensure accurate settlement of futures and options.
- Monitor margin calls and liaise with Treasury/Finance where required.
- Support delivery processes for physically settled contracts where applicable.
Risk & P&L Support
- Assist in daily P&L production and validation.
- Monitor position limits and escalate potential breaches.
- Support exchange expiry management and contract roll processes.
Client & Broker Liaison
- Act as a point of contact for clearing brokers and counterparties regarding trade queries.
- Ensure timely resolution of fails, breaks, and trade discrepancies.
- Support client onboarding and static data maintenance within operational systems.
Regulatory & Governance
- Ensure adherence to exchange rules and internal control procedures.
- Support audit requests and provide documentation as required.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.

- LISA – Trade capture and clearing processing
- TEO – Trade and position management
- ATEO – Reconciliation and control platform
Experience working with ETD clearing and back/middle office systems is highly desirable.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2–5 years’ experience in Middle Office / Trade Support within Exchange Traded Derivatives.
- Strong understanding of futures and options lifecycle.
- Experience performing trade, position, and cash reconciliations.
- Familiarity with clearing processes and margin methodologies.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and control mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment.
Desirable
- Experience using LISA, TEO, and/or ATEO systems.
- Knowledge of global exchanges (CME, ICE, LME, Eurex, etc.).
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting ETD markets.
