Join a leading UK deep-tech design consultancy – South Oxfordshire, Hybrid Working Model

This established engineering business delivers complex embedded and silicon solutions across communications, beamforming and advanced FPGA-based systems. They are now looking for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple high-value programmes, shaping low-level embedded architecture and influencing technical direction across the team.

This is a senior, customer-facing position requiring deep embedded expertise, strong hardware appreciation and the ability to translate requirements into robust technical delivery.

For this Principal Embedded Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience with microcontrollers and peripherals (DMA, timers, GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S)
• Proven background in driver and firmware development
• Experience working on FPGA-based systems, ideally with DSP exposure
• Experience across bare-metal, RTOS and/or Embedded Linux environments
• Ability to engage directly with customers and lead technical requirements
