An established and forward-thinking law firm are looking for a Housing Disrepair Paralegal to join its growing litigation team. The Role
You will manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims, assisting clients through all stages of the pre-action protocol and litigation process. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services while ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and client care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of housing disrepair files under supervision
- Drafting letters of claim and other pre-action protocol documentation
- Instructing experts and reviewing medical and surveyor reports
- Preparing court documents and bundles
- Liaising with clients, landlords, experts, and counsel
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with relevant housing and litigation procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience handling housing disrepair claims (essential)
- Strong knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A genuine interest in housing law and tenant rights
