Conveyancing Solicitor – Belfast/Antrim/Glengormley | £40,000–£60,000 | Full-time, opportunity to progress

Signatus are recruiting a Full time conveyancing solicitor to join one of a reputable private practice property department as a conveyancing solicitor based in Belfast or Antrim.

This is a role that will form part of the natural succession plan of the firm in time and with it offers the solicitor an opportunity to progress into a leadership role while servicing a full caseload of existing property clients.

In it, you will have dedicated support of a senior partner and dedicated legal secretarial support to assist you in providing first class service to your clients. The majority of the workload (c90%) is residential conveyancing focused with some general commercial matters on occasion.

The role will suit either a competent junior solicitor with experience handling residential conveyancing files through to completion who needs some senior support on occasion. OR conversely, it might suit a seasoned practitioner who is looking to step into a senior role within a firm and ultimately run the property department of a busy private practice.

What You’ll Do

• Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion with support from the senior solicitor
• Advise clients on all stages of the property transaction process
• Draft and review contracts, title documents, leases, and deeds
• Conduct title checks and coordinate with estate agents, mortgage providers, and opposing solicitors
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Resolve issues or disputes that may arise during transactions
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of all matters handled

Ideal Candidate

• NI qualified solicitor with a strong background in residential conveyancing, ideally with 3+ years PQE but all PQE will be considered, especially senior practitioners
• Able to work collaboratively initially but ultimately independently and take full ownership of your caseload
