The Role
As part of the Cost & Commercial Management team, you’ll provide cost management services across a portfolio of healthcare and complex building projects, working alongside experienced consultants and senior stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
You’ll lead the delivery of medium to large schemes (or key components of major programmes), taking ownership from early feasibility through to completion, ensuring financial control, managing risk, and providing trusted commercial advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Cost Management
• Deliver cost management services across medium to large hospital and healthcare developments
• Manage multiple projects or significant workstreams within larger programmes
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Track costs, manage variances, and maintain strong financial controls
• Ensure scope, timelines, and budgets are achieved in line with agreed controls
• Analyse project data to inform decision-making and improve commercial performance
Essential Skills & Experience
• Experience in cost or commercial management within construction or consultancy
• Healthcare experience desirable, but complex or technical building experience also transferable
• Experience delivering projects from inception to completion
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting capability
• Experience managing client and stakeholder relationships at middle-management level
• Experience mentoring or developing junior colleagues
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
