The opportunity
Pennon Group have a rare opening for an Inhouse Legal Environmental Lawyer to join their high performing legal team. This is a key role which offers a great opportunity for a progressive in-house legal career and to advocate for environment protection through legal means.
This leading role will support the business with its ambitious environmental strategies and compliance with the regulatory framework applicable to water companies. You will guide Pennon’s environmental strategy and compliance across our operations. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll advise on complex regulatory and environmental issues, support enforcement and litigation, and help the business navigate a dynamic legal framework whilst providing legal advice on regulatory issues impacting the business, supporting environmental litigation, including enforcement, prosecutions, regulatory appeals, judicial review and civil claims.
About you
You will be a UK qualified Solicitor with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience within environmental or regulatory law. Analytical acumen, ability to problem solve together with exceptional communication skills is also key.
