Full-time | Permanent

Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 depending on experience


Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is a values-driven not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting injured people through the work of our members. We are seeking a commercially aware and relationship focused Corporate Development Manager to lead the structured delivery and growth of our corporate portfolio.


The role

This is a key income-generating and relationship management role responsible for leading APIL’s Corporate Supporter (ACS) scheme and wider corporate membership development.


You will:

·       Lead structured account management of corporate supporter firms

·       Own and deliver the annual renewal cycle, including value reporting and review meetings

·       Identify and progress opportunities to grow and uplift partnerships

·       Maintain a robust CRM pipeline, renewal timelines and account plans

·       Develop and refine SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery

·       Prepare proposals, renewal packs and commercial documentation

·       Coordinate with Membership, Marketing and Publishing teams to deliver partner benefits

·       Report on revenue performance, renewal rates and pipeline activity

·       Represent APIL at meetings and events with corporate supporters and prospects


About you

You will bring experience in account management, partnership development or corporate membership management, along with a track record of managing client relationships and working towards income or performance targets.


You will also demonstrate:

·       Strong stakeholder relationship management

·       Commercial awareness and confidence working to targets

·       CRM and structured pipeline management experience

·       Excellent written communication and proposal writing skills

·       Organisation, resilience and a proactive approach

·       Ability to collaborate effectively within a small organisation


Experience within a membership or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
