Job description
Senior Project Delivery Manager
Energy Infrastructure & Battery Storage | Hybrid (UK)
Attention
Are you a senior project delivery professional who wants full accountability for complex energy projects — without being reduced to governance, reporting or facilitation?
This role offers genuine ownership of delivery, where leadership, judgement and decision-making sit firmly with you.
Interest
Our client delivers complex, grid-connected energy infrastructure projects across the UK, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
They are seeking a Senior Project Delivery Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for the safe, compliant and successful delivery of projects from detailed design through construction, commissioning and handover into operations.
This is a senior role with real delivery accountability, working across multiple live projects within a technically demanding environment.
The role is primarily office-based with regular engagement at site during key delivery phases.
Desire
In this role, you’ll act as the senior delivery lead across a portfolio of energy infrastructure projects, including:
- Owning programme, cost, quality, safety and risk across projects
- Leading delivery from detailed design through construction and commissioning
- Managing contractors and consultants under NEC4 contracts
- Ensuring strong governance, reporting and control throughout delivery
- Acting as the key interface between internal stakeholders and external partners
- Driving projects through to operational handover with confidence and clarity
This role suits experienced delivery leaders who enjoy owning outcomes, making informed decisions and being close to delivery — not managing from a distance.
The background that fits
You don’t need to tick every box, but this role will suit you if you have:
- Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure or energy projects end-to-end
- Strong understanding of contract management, ideally NEC4
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external contractors
- A sound appreciation of health, safety and regulatory compliance in construction environments
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset with the confidence to lead under pressure
- Experience within energy, power, renewables or grid-connected infrastructure is beneficial, but not essential.
Salary
Up to £90,000, depending on experience and overall fit.
Location & working pattern
Hybrid working model with regular travel as required.
Preferred base: North West, with access to the Warrington office.
