GENERAL MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

Stowmarket Golf Club, a thriving private members' club in Suffolk, founded in 1902. The course is located in the idyllic Finborough Park near Stowmarket, Suffolk, and has a near-capacity membership of 700.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our club into an exciting new chapter following the retirement of our current General Manager in August.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished club manager to lead a well-established golf club with excellent facilities and a loyal membership. As General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of club operations, working closely with our Board of Directors to implement strategic initiatives and ensure the club's continued success.

The role offers genuine scope to make your mark, with current projects including facility development initiatives, membership growth strategies, and ongoing operational improvements. You will lead a dedicated team across all departments and play a key role in shaping the club's future direction.

There will be an opportunity for a comprehensive handover period with the outgoing General Manager to ensure a smooth transition and familiarisation with all aspects of club operations.

About You

We are looking for a proven leader with substantial experience in golf club management or a similar membership-based environment. You will possess:

·        Demonstrable experience managing all aspects of club operations

·        Strong financial management skills with budget responsibility

·        Excellent leadership capabilities and staff management experience

·        Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

·        Strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational expertise

·        Knowledge of golf club governance and England Golf regulations

·        A professional, member-focused approach
