Criterion Capital is a leading London real estate investment and development company delivering high-profile commercial projects across the West End and Central London.

We are seeking a highly analytical Commercial Analyst to support our Commercial team, applying data-driven and evidence-based approaches to cost planning, development performance and capital expenditure management.

This is a non-traditional role, combining commercial analysis, quantitative modelling and core quantity surveying principles to improve cost certainty, governance and development outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cost models and analyse project performance using quantitative methods.
  • Support cost planning, forecasting and CAPEX tracking across development projects.
  • Analyse cost variances, risks and contractor submissions using data-led approaches.
  • Produce structured commercial insights to support decision-making.
  • Assist procurement analysis and commercial governance processes.
  • Build analytical frameworks to improve efficiency and cost transparency.


About You

  • Background in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics or similar analytical discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel/modelling capability.
  • Detail-oriented with a logical, evidence-based approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable working with complex datasets and translating analysis into clear commercial insights.
  • Curious, analytical and motivated to challenge traditional industry thinking.
