Contract Python Developer – London (Hybrid)

Contract | 6–12 Months | Competitive Day Rate | London

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer for a leading organisation in London undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for a contractor who enjoys working with modern backend technologies and contributing to high-impact projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Python
• Build and enhance APIs and system integrations
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Work closely with Product, DevOps, and Data teams
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering practices

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with Python (3.x)
• Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is beneficial
• Solid understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases

Candidate Profile

• Proven background as a Python Developer
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to attend the London office 1–2 days per week

Start Date
