Legal Counsel (Asset Management), Leading Investment Manager

The client

We are working with a leading investment lawyer seeking a general asset management lawyer to join their legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to step into a strategic role at the heart of a dynamic investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting the business teams with fund structuring, client onboarding, segregated mandates, distribution and marketing of new and existing funds
• Providing regulatory, risk and governance advice relating to funds and associated products
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IMAs, distribution, platform and rebate agreements
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including investment, finance, and compliance teams
• Manage relationships with external counsel and service providers
• Contribute to broader legal strategy and risk management across the platform

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified lawyer (3-8PQE) with strong experience in private funds, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house
• Good knowledge of fund structuring would be a plus but not a prerequisite.
• Commercially astute, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence at senior levels
