TechHeads are currently seeking an experienced Data / Reconciliation Project Manager to lead a critical workstream within a major insurance platform transformation on a 12 month Day Rate Contract (potential to extend).

As part of a new policy and claims administration system implementation, multiple lines of business are being migrated using source bordereaux data. This role will lead the reconciliation of source data against both legacy and new platforms — analysing differences, determining materiality, and providing commercially sound recommendations to the wider programme team.

You will combine strong data expertise, delegated insurance knowledge, and project leadership capability to ensure data migration integrity and financial accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data reconciliation workstream within a large transformation programme
  • Design and implement a robust data analysis and reconciliation framework
  • Reconcile bordereaux source data (premium, claims, reserves, accruals, earnings) against legacy and new platforms
  • Analyse unreconciled differences and provide recommendations (accept, remediate, reject)
  • Take a commercial view on data discrepancies and determine materiality
  • Develop and manage a detailed reconciliation project plan
  • Lead, coach and support Data & Reconciliation Analysts
  • Provide progress updates and status reporting to Programme Director and PMO
  • Identify root causes of reconciliation breaks and recommend process or system improvements
  • Ensure reconciliation activities are delivered accurately and in line with programme timelines

Requirements

Experience

  • Proven experience leading data teams and managing detailed reconciliation processes
  • Strong project management capability (planning, tracking, reporting)
  • Experience within delegated insurance environments
  • Deep understanding of bordereaux processing (premiums, claims, reserves, accruals)
  • Strong stakeholder management across Finance, IT and Programme functions
  • Experience operating in fast-paced transformation environments

Technical Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel capability
  • Strong data manipulation skills (SQL, data cubes, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Ability to assess financial and commercial materiality
  • Finance and accounting knowledge
