The Opportunity

A leading US law firm is seeking a bright and capable Transaction Specialist to join its London office. This is a unique opportunity for a legally trained professional with experience gained within a banking environment to transition into a prestigious private practice setting while continuing to work on complex, high value transactions.


The successful candidate will work closely with partners, associates, and clients on a broad range of matters across M&A, leveraged finance, real estate finance, and transaction management, supporting deals from initial structuring through to completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting on the execution of complex corporate and finance transactions, including M&A, leveraged finance, and real estate finance matters
  • Providing hands-on transaction management support, coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, and managing deal documentation
  • Assisting with preparation and review of conditions precedent and closing documentation
  • Coordinating signing and closing processes, including execution logistics and post-completion tasks
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, internal legal teams, and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
  • Supporting due diligence processes and managing virtual data rooms
  • Drafting ancillary documents, checklists, and transaction summaries
  • Maintaining accurate transaction records and supporting internal knowledge management


Candidate Profile

  • Experience gained in a legal or transaction support role within a bank or financial institution
  • Exposure to M&A, leveraged finance, real estate finance, or broader transaction management work
  • Bright and capable individual with excellent academics
  • Strong understanding of deal processes and documentation within a financial or legal environment
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
