Job description

A complex, global organisation is undertaking a significant overhaul of its HR technology ecosystem, aiming to modernise how its people processes operate across regions. You will join a central People Technology function and take ownership of the day‑to‑day delivery of a major Workday implementation. Reporting to the People Technology Director, you will steer the project budget and timelines, design processes, partner with a 3rd-party vendor, and deliver a full-suite Workday implementation across all territories.


This role is ideal for a Global HRIS Project Manager who enjoys navigating complexity, bringing structure to large programmes, and ensuring that global teams move in sync toward a shared vision.


Key responsibilities & requirements

  • Driving the daily operational management of a global Workday programme, ensuring progress is consistent and aligned across all phases.
  • Owning the integrated project plan, milestones, and RAID management to maintain clarity, control, and delivery quality.
  • Coordinating functional, technical, regional, and external implementation teams to ensure cohesive execution.
  • Supporting programme governance through structured reporting, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and decision‑tracking.
  • Managing scope, timelines, and budget controls in line with established project management frameworks.
  • Maintaining documentation and supporting activities related to testing, cutover, and deployment readiness.
  • Facilitating communication across HR, IT, and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Workday (preferred) or other cloud‑based HR platforms such as Oracle HCM or SuccessFactors.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and vendors across regions and time zones.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
  • Understanding of HR processes, integrations, and data governance.
  • Willingness to travel internationally during key project phases.
