Trade Finance Operations Manager

London / Office based 4 days per week

Salary: £55-65,000 plus benefits and bonus

A market leading FinTech organisation are seeking a Operations Manager to oversee a high performing team responsible for reviewing, verifying, and authorising supplier‑related finance activity across a portfolio of SME clients.

Duties include:

• Provide day to day direction, support and development of a high performing lending operations team.
• Establish clear expectations, track operational output, and ensure targets and quality measures are consistently met.
• Maintain accountability for operational excellence across all processes.
• Serve as the main point of escalation for complex or sensitive operational matters
• Ensure smooth and timely transactional processes.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams,including product, legal, and credit to build and refine operational processes
• Continuously review existing procedures to identify inefficiencies, simplify user journeys, and recommend enhancements.
• Implement scalable processes and procedures to support increasing volumes and business growth.
• Ensure all operational practices align with regulatory requirements governing lending and trade activity.

Skills and experience required:

• Background in trade finance operations or similar credit‑focused environments.
• Familiarity with FX instruments and how they integrate into lending workflows.
• Ability to guide and coach teams within fast‑moving, evolving environments such as fintech or scaling financial services organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
• Comfortable owning complex issues, ensuring clear updates and driving matters through to resolution.
