Job description
Rockbourne is delighted to be retained by a leading, institutionally backed affordable housing investment platform at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
Alongside a strategic senior hire, Rockbourne is also working with this business, as it continues to scale, to appoint an Investment Analyst into its London-based team.
The Why?
- They have built a 1,600-home pipeline from scratch with a lean team and are now adding an Investment Analyst to work directly with the founders on live transactions and platform growth.
- The role offers hands-on exposure across underwriting, structuring, due diligence and execution, with a clear path to becoming more market-facing over time.
- It is a genuinely entrepreneurial environment with high ownership, minimal hierarchy and real responsibility from day one. If you would be open to a discreet conversation, I would be happy to share more details.
- With momentum building and capital to deploy, the platform is scaling its investment team across both senior transaction execution and analytical capability.
- This Analyst hire will play a critical role in supporting current and future transactions as the platform continues to institutionalise and grow.
The Role
As an Investment Analyst, you will work closely with senior leadership on live transactions and strategic growth initiatives from day one. This is a highly hands on role offering exposure across the full investment lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and refining financial models for acquisitions and portfolio transactions
- Supporting transaction structuring, due diligence and execution
- Preparing investment analysis, sensitivities and internal investment papers
- Conducting market research and sector analysis
- Working cross functionally with finance, asset management, legal and operations teams
- Supporting the development of institutional investment processes and systems
- Embedding ESG and social impact considerations into underwriting and monitoring
This role is well suited to someone seeking early responsibility, steep learning and direct exposure to decision makers within a fast scaling platform.
About you:
- 6 months to 2 years’ experience in real estate, finance, consultancy or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, Excel focused
- Exposure to transactions, due diligence or investment analysis
- A proactive, intellectually curious and resilient mindset
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Experience in affordable housing or living sectors is beneficial but not essential.
