Job Title: UX Researcher

Location: Wallingford, OX10 9TA (Hybrid – Tue/Wed/Thu office, Mon/Fri WFH)

Salary: £30,000–£40,000 DOE

Start Date: ASAP

We’re hiring a UX Researcher to join a purpose-led online retail organisation processing over 20M products annually.


The Opportunity – UX Researcher


This UX Researcher role sits at the intersection of Product, UX/UI and Marketing. You will own research across the full digital customer journey — from discovery to checkout — ensuring user insight directly drives conversion, retention and engagement.


You’ll combine qualitative research, behavioural analytics and competitor benchmarking to optimise performance across multiple websites and brands.

This is a commercially focused UX Researcher position where insight must translate into measurable impact.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and deliver end-to-end UX research across websites and digital journeys
  • Conduct usability testing, interviews, surveys and discovery research
  • Analyse behavioural cohorts and customer segments
  • Translate findings into archetypes and actionable insight
  • Partner with UX/UI to optimise layout, navigation and usability
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaign performance and content engagement
  • Analyse product discovery behaviour and purchasing patterns
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking within the online retail market
  • Present concise, evidence-led recommendations to stakeholders


What We’re Looking For


  • Proven experience as a UX Researcher across the full research lifecycle
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research capability
  • Experience with GA4, Hotjar, Clarity, ContentSquare or FullStory
  • Strong understanding of acquisition and conversion journeys
  • Experience working cross-functionally in agile teams
  • Commercial awareness – balancing user needs with business goals
  • Experience with experimentation tools (Monetate, AB Tasty, VWO) is desirable
  • Familiarity with Figma, Miro or Adobe XD is advantageous
