A world-leading manufacturer of machinery and processing lines for the fresh-cut industry; recognised for innovation and customer service excellence in the fruit and vegetable sector. Headquartered in mainland Europe, the rapidly growing UK subsidiary is looking to further build on its footprint and momentum throughout the UK and Ireland.
With significant growth in the customer base and new customer installations confirmed, the business is looking to appoint a dynamic, tenacious, and highly skilled Field Sales Engineer in the fresh produce sector who is looking to be part of an ambitious, entrepreneurial company with a highly sought-after suite of products and a compelling culture.
The core proposition unites deep sector knowledge, state-of-the-art technology, and a solid commitment to delivering excellent customer service at every stage of the process. Building on the experience and track record of the parent company, the UK business has already achieved significant success in a short space of time and is looking to accelerate growth across the business whilst maintaining consistently high service standards.
The role, which reports to Service Manager UK, will support the successful installations of new customer projects across the country, ensure repairs are timely and efficient and be the technical expert for customer stakeholders. You will have a deep understanding of the food industry, an astute problem solver and be passionate about delivering consistently excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Work on the assembly, commissioning, and installation of new equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland; working collaboratively and effectively with colleagues throughout the business.
- Proactively ensure the effective inspection, maintenance and monitoring of existing equipment across the customer base.
- Swiftly troubleshoot malfunctions and breakdowns ensuring the company’s commitment to customer service excellence is upheld.
- Provide clear, effective, and tailored training and guidance to machine operatives across customer sites based on their individual needs.
- Champion the company’s commitment to excellence in customer service and product quality throughout the customer journey.
- Act as a company ambassador, consistently living and breathing the culture and values.
Requirements
- A recognised higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Extensive experience in field service, ideally in the food processing sector.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to customer sites across the UK and Ireland.
- A skilled and effective communicator with both internal colleagues and customer contacts.
- Skilled at building internal relationships and a positive inter-department working dynamic.

- £40-£50,000 basic salary + overtime c£10-15,000pa
