Wates have terrific opportunity for a Senior Building Services Manager to join our Smartspace team out of our London Offices. The postholder will be responsible for the the design delivery and commission of building services management across the country.


ABOUT THE ROLE


We are looking for you to be an experienced Building Services Manager who has solid experience managing both mechanical and electrical Projects in the UK, as well as experience within fast-track Cat A & Cat B fit out sector.


A pro-active approach to relationship building with contractors as well as experience working with design teams, the ability to interrogate subcontractor proposals.


To be successful in the role you will be a methodical and effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business. You will also have proven management experience, be initiative-taking, be able to work under their own initiative, manage their own time and be able to work as part of a team.


Some of the other Key Accountabilities as Senior Building Services Manager include:


  • Assist the Bid Team to manage the production of the Contractors Proposals, ensuring they are complete, unambiguous, have been reviewed by the bid team, and have been updated to include all post tender negotiations.
  • Produce agree and manage, with all relevant parties, a realistic services design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement, and construction requirements.
  • Review installation plans, manage design data, and provide value engineering solutions.
  • Oversee on-site delivery, testing, and commissioning of systems, including HVAC, fire safety, and electrical systems.
  • Manage the services issues on site with the assistance of other site-based resource by implementing the management procedures to ensure the timely production of information is issued, within budget, fully coordinated and buildable.
  • Act as the primary contact for client teams and ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure the services design has been reviewed on all projects with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction and ensure that hazards are noted on all drawings at each stage of their production.
  • Maintain close relationships with the Customer and input into contract review.
