Are you a dynamic, strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth? IDEX are leading the search for a Business Development Executive to join an international law firm in London.
In this role, you will be a key player in developing and implementing business strategies to expand our client base, enhance client relationships, and support the firm’s global growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partners and senior stakeholders to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- Develop and execute tailored business development plans for various practice areas, sectors, and regions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas.
- Manage client pitches, proposals, and presentations to win new business.
- Support proposal managers on large, complex RFP activates.
- Foster strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to enhance brand loyalty and awareness.
- Organize and attend networking events, seminars, and conferences to promote the firm’s services.
- Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align business development activities with the firm’s branding and marketing strategies.
- Provide support in drafting and preparing high-quality promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and website content.
Attributes & Experience:
- Excellent drafting and writing ability, with an emphasis on creating an excellent “first time working product”.
- Self-starter who can show initiative and get on with tasks without the need for significant supervision and direction.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Significant experience in a partnership environment in a similar role with an appreciation of the benefits of a focused client approach.
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels, throughout different geographies, and time zones.
- Ability to learn about the firm quickly and grasp technical terms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and willingness to approach senior partners and lawyers with new concepts and ideas.
- Have the confidence to present ideas and views clearly and with conviction.
- Adopt a flexible and versatile approach to work and enjoy working with a team with different needs, styles, and requirements.
- To be collaborative, resourceful, proactive, and creative.
- Ability to create and maintain visibility within the team.
- Have tenacity and show willingness to implement new ideas.
- Have the confidence and be alert to sensitivities, to challenge and take a robust commercial stance, where appropriate.
