Delegated Authority Underwriting Oversight Associate

Job description

A specialist (re)insurance group is hiring a DA Underwriting Oversight Associate to join its Underwriting & Product Delivery team in London. This is an interface role where you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and outsourced underwriting partners to ensure delegated underwriting activity is monitored effectively, transparently, and in line with controls and regulatory expectations.

What you’ll be doing

• Support oversight of outsourced / delegated underwriting activities and value chain controls (underwriting, wording, policy admin and reviews)
• Act as a key interface across underwriting stakeholders, coordinating data requirements, wording feedback, and oversight reporting
• Help assess product performance, underwriting results, and distribution arrangements
• Support the measurement and continuous improvement of the underwriting oversight framework
• Assist with underwriting performance reporting, monitoring packs, and project work (incl. Data analysis)

What you’ll bring

• Insurance background
• Experience in front-line underwriting, underwriting oversight, or underwriting audit
• Power BI / dashboard exposure (hands-on use and interpretation is essential)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively
• Delegated Authority experience (MGA oversight / bordereaux / governance)
• Exposure analytics tools and/or portfolio monitoring experience
