Job description

London | Boutique Residential Studio | ✨ Permanent Role
My client is looking for a Technical Architect to join their close‑knit, innovative team delivering beautifully crafted, high‑end private homes.
If you thrive on technical detail, enjoy working collaboratively, and love seeing exceptional designs come to life through rigorous construction delivery — I’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As their Technical Architect, you’ll be the technical specialist within a dedicated 3‑person project team (Design + Technical + Management). You’ll play a key role across the full journey of their bespoke residential projects, particularly RIBA Stages 4–7.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Producing high‑quality tender + construction packages
- Advising on technical matters during early RIBA stages
- Coordinating consultants and managing tender processes
- Conducting site inspections & responding to RFIs
- Administering JCT & Construction Management contracts (training provided)
- Ensuring clarity, accuracy and excellence across all technical outputs
What You Need To Bring
They’re looking for someone who has:
- 2+ years of UK experience in high-end or private residential projects
- Strong technical design + detailing ability, ideally working directly in ArchiCAD / 3D BIM
- Hands‑on experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4–7
- Excellent UK Building Regulations knowledge
- Confident communication skills with clients, consultants and contractors
- Great timekeeping, organisation and a calm approach to deadlines
- A genuine interest in sustainability and emerging technical solutions
- UK work eligibility (visa sponsorship will be considered for strong candidates)
Bonus points for:
- Site inspection experience
- Some exposure to JCT contract administration
- Applied sustainable design knowledge
Why Join?
- Boutique studio with a friendly, personal approach
- Highly experienced, stable team — no hierarchy, no juniors
- Unique structure: each project delivered by a specialist team
- Genuine autonomy and trust-based flexible working
- Strong, distinctive brand built on deep technical + design specialisation
- The chance to shape extraordinary homes with a practice that values craft, quality and innovation
