The Role
Hedge Fund Trade Support – Fixed Income & Credit Strategy (1–3 years’ experience | Potential Middle East relocation)
Martis Search is partnering with a boutique, Mayfair-based Fixed Income & Credit strategy Hedge Fund for one of the most unique and interesting opportunities out there atm, to hire a permanent “Hedge Fund Trade Support” professional to join their team in London.
This is a rare opportunity to join a small, globally focused Hedge Fund in a broad and highly visible role. The position is London-based, with potential relocation to the Middle East after approximately six months/ 1-year subject to business needs.
However, please be aware that there still remains the possibility the role could continue to be London-based longer term.
The role reports directly to the COO and sits alongside the Front Office Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts, offering strong exposure to the full trade-life cycle for multi-asset class Hedge Fund Operations/ Trade Support.
This is a broad role with significant project exposure, particularly around automation and process enhancement, working closely with the COO.
Key Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle trade support across complex, multi-asset strategies
- Trade capture and booking across OMS/PMS systems
- Daily liaison with Prime Brokers and counterparties
- P&L production and reconciliation
- Risk reporting support
- NAV oversight and calculation coordination
- Supporting operational infrastructure development and process automation
- Ad hoc desk assistant responsibilities supporting the Front Office
Candidate Profile
- Graduate calibre (2:1 in a STEM subject)
- 1–3 years’ experience within Hedge Fund, or Asset Management Trade Support
- Strong understanding of fixed income and credit instruments and both desire/ the ability to pick up and learn newer asset-classes
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA highly advantageous)
- Exposure to Python, SQL, or automation tools beneficial too
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high-performance environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented and confident working independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
This is an ultra-busy, dynamic environment requiring resilience, flexibility and strong ownership mentality. Occasional extended hours may be required, particularly during peak periods.
Compensation
- £60,000 k pa – £75,000 k pa base salary (dependent on experience)
