Senior Solicitor - Real Estate Finance & Structured Debt

Job description

We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a Senior Associate to join their Real Estate Finance team within their London office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an esteemed Real Estate Finance practice, leading on real estate structured finance transactions involving a broad range of financing structures and asset classes, with a focus on structured debt matters. The candidate will have the opportunity to act as the act as the interface between the Structured Finance and REF aspects of transactions, advising a global client base on a diverse range of financing structures.

Responsibilities include acting for both bank and debt fund/alternative lender clients, drafting and reviewing structured finance documents, including CRE warehouse facility agreements and repurchase (repo) agreements (both MRA and GMRA based), and contributing to business development initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• 5+ PQE;
• Strong background in structured finance and securitisation concepts. Experience within a broader REF context highly advantageous;
• Excellent commercial awareness;
• Outstanding academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
