Harmonic Operations™ | Certified B Corp is looking for a Studio Manager | Architecture & Design Studio | Central London

Job description

Studio Manager | Architecture & Design Studio | Central London

The Client

Our client is a well-established, architecture studio with an international reputation for creating striking outdoor spaces. Operating at the intersection of art, design, and the built environment, their work spans cultural, residential, and institutional projects across the UK and internationally.

The studio is based in a beautiful and easily-accessible part of London, in an architect-designed workspace that reflects their design philosophy; calm, collaborative, and deeply considered. With a close-knit team of around 25 creative professionals, they combine craftsmanship with strategic design thinking to produce work that balances innovation, context, and enduring quality.

Their projects often involve partnerships with leading cultural organisations, artists, and craftspeople, and they are known for a process that values collaboration, integrity, and design excellence. The team culture is warm, inclusive, and intellectually curious, offering an environment where creativity and operational rigour go hand in hand.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Studio Manager to take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of a thriving design practice. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the directors and wider team, combining operational oversight, HR coordination, and organisational management in a dynamic and inspiring setting.

You’ll ensure that the studio runs seamlessly, maintaining a welcoming and well-functioning workspace while contributing to the positive culture that defines the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring everything runs efficiently and professionally.
  • Manage studio facilities, maintenance, and supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate the Director’s diary and handle complex travel arrangements across international projects.
  • Support HR and recruitment processes, maintaining policies, compliance, and fostering a supportive team culture.
  • Lead on Health & Safety and Fire Safety procedures, including checks, training, and documentation.
  • Liaise with external partners, contractors, and collaborators on studio matters.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to manage the studio’s website and social media.
  • Support planning and delivery of studio events and community initiatives.

What the Client Would Like to See (Essential):

  • Proven experience managing the operations of a busy creative studio, design practice, or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a calm, organised approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage travel and diary arrangements.

What We Would Like to See (Bonus):

  • Experience within a creative, design, or architectural environment.
  • Confidence handling a broad range of administrative, HR, and operational tasks.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign), and social media platforms.
  • Experience working in a founder-led environment.
