HSBC is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Finance function for Zing—HSBC’s e‑money fintech launched in 2024 and currently undergoing a structured wind‑down, with customer wallets due to close in 2026. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safe, controlled wind‑down of a regulated entity while gaining exposure across Finance, Risk, Technology, Operations, and more.


As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering end‑to‑end Finance activities, supporting financial accounting, reporting, forecasting, liquidity tracking, and systems management throughout the wind‑down period. You will work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and wider HSBC stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, control, and compliance with HSBC frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support month‑end close activities, financial reporting, balance sheet substantiation and performance analysis.
  • Maintain Finance systems and controls to ensure accuracy across general ledger and Group reporting tools.
  • Assist in preparing financial updates for stakeholders including entity Directors and the wind‑down sponsor.
  • Track working capital, provisions, liquidity and costs, providing clear variance commentary.
  • Support statutory accounts preparation and external audit processes.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Technology, Risk, Tax, Operations) to support an orderly wind‑down.
  • Ensure timely and accurate third‑party payments.


Requirements

  • Part‑qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CFA or equivalent).
  • Strong accounting knowledge with experience in month‑end and financial controls.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite GL, Saracen, TM1, Wdesk) preferred.
  • Solutions‑driven with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and communicate financial insights clearly.


Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to statutory audit processes, cash flow / working capital management, tax accounting or restructuring.
  • Understanding of HSBC Inter‑Group Service Agreements (IGSAs) advantageous.
