Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Paralegal to join our busy and well-established law firm based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive commercial property team handling a broad range of high-quality matters for local and national clients.
You will play a key role in supporting fee earners on a varied caseload of commercial property transactions, with genuine opportunities for progression and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with sales and acquisitions of commercial freehold and leasehold properties
- Drafting and reviewing leases, licences to assign, rent deposit deeds, and other transactional documents
- Preparing contract packs and supporting due diligence processes
- Conducting and reviewing property searches
- Managing Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other solicitors
- Managing your own caseload of matters where appropriate
About You
- Previous experience as a Commercial Property Paralegal (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Strong understanding of commercial conveyancing procedures
- Excellent drafting and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
