Senior Consultant

Job description

We’re partnering with a growing advisory business delivering major procurement and commercial programmes across the UK. Due to continued project wins and an expanding pipeline, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Consultant to join their team.

This is an opportunity to work on high-impact, complex programmes across infrastructure and capital projects, supporting both public and private sector clients.

The Role

You’ll be involved across the full procurement lifecycle, supporting the development and delivery of strategic sourcing and commercial solutions. The role offers strong exposure to complex programmes and the opportunity to contribute to shaping procurement strategy at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic procurement advice aligned to client objectives
• Support end-to-end procurement activity (strategy, tendering, evaluation, award)
• Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders on large-scale programmes
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
• Support business development activities including bids and proposals

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in procurement advisory, commercial consultancy, or strategic sourcing
• Strong understanding of tendering processes and contract planning
• Experience supporting or leading contract award processes
• Knowledge of public procurement regulations (or equivalent frameworks)
• Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as NEC or JCT
• CIPS Level 4 (completed, in progress, or working towards) preferred
• Degree in construction, engineering, law, procurement or related field desirable
• Exposure to infrastructure, utilities, transport, or defence projects advantageous

• Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies in complex environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Commercial awareness with solid understanding of cost models
• Experience working within capital project or programme environments
