Position Overview

OFS are now seeking a Field Services Representative to support a key project with one of our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical aptitude, proven troubleshooting skills, and a dedication to operational excellence and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:


Operational Support

  • Responding promptly to management’s operational queries with accurate technical updates and recommendations.
  • Completing daily operational reports summarising equipment performance, key observations, and any deviations.


Preventive & Planned Maintenance

  • Executing daily planned maintenance tasks in line with OEM guidelines and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintaining detailed maintenance logs and ensure all actions are recorded in the Maximo.
  • Conducting daily routines such as oil level checks, system walkarounds, and housekeeping inspections.


Corrective & Breakdown Maintenance

  • Diagnosing and repair equipment faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Documenting all corrective actions and component replacements.
  • Ensuring work quality meets technical and safety standards.


Fluid & Filtration Management

  • Overseeing fuel and oil filtration management to maintain optimal system cleanliness.
  • Tracking consumption trends and report anomalies to management.


Troubleshooting & Technical Analysis

  • Performing systematic troubleshooting of mechanical and instrumentation issues.
  • Recommending and implement corrective measures based on root cause analysis.


Permit & Compliance Management

  • Preparing and submit work permits and safety documentation in accordance with site policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE standards during all maintenance and operational activities.


Spare Parts & Inventory Control

  • Managing spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date stock records and initiate procurement requests where needed.


Equipment Monitoring & Performance Tracking

  • Continuously monitoring the performance of turbines, waste heat units, and auxiliary systems.
  • Reporting deviations and propose operational adjustments or maintenance interventions.


Specialised Maintenance Activities

  • Participating in specialised tasks such as Borescope inspections, and system overhauls.
  • Providing technical input and support during major maintenance shutdowns or project works.


General Mechanical Support

  • Performing hands-on mechanical repairs and
  • Assisting in equipment alignment, assembly, and calibration tasks as required.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment at all times.


Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Experience in the operations and/or maintenance of GE Aeroderivative gas turbines or similar gas turbine systems
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in carrying out maintenance activities in line with OEM guidelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on remote sites
  • Commitment to high safety standards
