What we're looking for:

We are seeking a Street Lighting Electrician / Electrical Improver to support the installation, maintenance and testing of street lighting and associated highway electrical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering safe, high-quality electrical works on the public highway, including fault finding, repairs, planned maintenance and new installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance and repair of street lighting equipment and highway electrical systems
• Fault finding, testing and inspection of electrical circuits and assets
• Carrying out safe isolation procedures and working in accordance with industry standards
• Completing job documentation, test results and compliance paperwork accurately
• Working outdoors in all conditions, including working at height where required
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with company procedures, H&S requirements and client specifications
• Liaising with supervisors, clients and colleagues to ensure works are delivered efficiently and safely
• Training and progression will be provided for the right candidate, including support towards additional street lighting and highways qualifications.

Desirable Requirements:

• City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• G39 qualification
• MEWP operation certificate
• HERS electrician status (or working towards)
• Strong experience in electrical maintenance, testing, and installation
• Good understanding of electrical safety and compliance
• Ability to work safely outdoors and at height
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience in highway electrical systems
