Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for residential/commercial construction projects. The Estimator will analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine material, labor, and overall project costs while ensuring competitive and profitable bids.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and BOQs
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs
  • Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Request and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations
  • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams
  • Maintain cost databases and historical records
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
  • Ensure estimates comply with company standards and client requirements


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (preferred)
  • 3–8 years of experience in construction estimation
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Experience in residential/commercial/infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in:
  • MS Excel
  • AutoCAD (basic understanding)
  • Estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX – if applicable)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
