Role- Electrical Controls Engineer

Salary- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)

Type- Permanent

Location- Near Heywood

My client work within engineering and they are looking to take on an Electrical Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team.

The Electrical Controls Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
• Have experience carrying out programming on PLC’s such as Siemens TIA Portal
• Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations
• Be confident reading electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Experience troubleshooting industrial networks such as Profinet or Modbus or similar
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Electrical Controls Engineer role will involve:

• Working within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team
• Being involved in varied Electrical Engineering projects
• Carrying out FAT and SAT activities
• Programming and testing PLC’s (TIA Portal)
• Offering technical support to customer and colleagues when required
• Supporting commissioning activities onsite
